Senior Manager, Global Information Technology Infrastructure

Representative Duties

  • Working in our Waltham Abbey office, UK. Directly oversee IT associates in multiple regions including Asia Pacific, Europe/Middle East and the Americas
  • Directly oversee IT associates in multiple regions including Asia Pacific, Europe/Middle East and the Americas
  • Work with key business stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Coach and manage regional managers and service desk personnel across the globe
  • Ensure IT issue management and governance processes are documented, understood and adhered to across Shure’s regional locations
  • Drive a consistent incident support model to provide a seamless, high quality experience globally
  • Liaise with the business to ensure that IT meets business expectations and plan future changes to achieve improvements
  • Participate in business prioritization meetings to ensure alignment between project management, processes, and technology, and identify potential areas of opportunity
  • Assist in building and validating regional budgets
  • Assist with selection of third-party vendors based on established qualifications and manage partner resources and their deliverables
  • Track and manage action items identified in the root cause analysis of production environment issues and problems.
  • Manage change initiatives
  • Provides technical leadership and manage regional efforts that support the IT strategic plan and roadmap
  • Act as a technical escalation point for regional teams
  • Advocate for regional needs in global project efforts
  • Participate in project definition to drive innovation and process change through the use of modern IT solutions

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting a bilingual end user base including exposure to and familiarity with Asian culture
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising an IT department in a single role
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting users in the electrical/electronics manufacturing industry
  • Multilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, with native-quality proficiency highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in delivering global infrastructure projects across Asia, EMEA and North America for a global manufacturing organization
  • Excellent IT technical skills on server, storage, network, security, voice, cloud services, server virtualization, business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and focus
  • Ability to travel globally (20-25%)
  • Must have experience in:
    • Managing teams in support of end users across manufacturing, sales, marketing and engineering functions
    • Overseeing varied delivery models consisting of onsite and offshore team members
    • Leadership of cooperative efforts among project team members across divisions
    • Managing performance without direct authority
    • Providing global IT support at a global electronics manufacturing company
    • Managing a wide variety of IT projects including, but not limited to, new office infrastructure, networking and desktop initiatives
