Shure Artists: AlunaGeorge

From world tours to festivals to Katy Perry support slots, to collaborations (2015's frenetic “To Ü” with Skrillex & Diplo) to chart-slaying remixes (DJ Snake's version of “You Know You Like It”, i.e. one of the most streamed songs of all time), the world of AlunaGeorge has expanded immeasurably from the tiny London studio they started working in back in 2010.

Their debut album, ‘Body Music’, was received with critical acclaim for its genre-busting and fresh approach to music, and was nominated for a Brit Award.

‘I Remember’, their second album, is set to be released in late 2016 via Island Records in the UK and Interscope Records in the US

AlunaGeorge's Sound Engineer about the Beta 181 Microphone

About the BETA 181:

I`ve been extremely impressed with the 181`s. They`re the most natural sounding condensers I`ve heard for drum kit overheads, they really bring air and life into my mix! Furthermore the compact design and choice of capsules mean I can be genuinely creative with my placement for a variety of results.

AlunaGeorge's Sound Engineer about the Beta 98AMP/C Instrument Microphone

About the BETA 98AMP/C:

The Shure Beta 98AMP/C is the perfect microphone for drums. They have a great natural sound, with plenty of low end response and can handle high SPL`s. They have a robust design featuring a gooseneck for accurate placement and an ingenious clamp which allows you to attach the mic to the instrument in a variety of ways. I`m now using them on toms, snare bottom and even as a hi hat under mic, they sound fantastic!
